Haq Announced Retirement..

URAWA Reds FC are stunned by a shocking decision of their co-captain, Haq Husin. Haq announced his retirement soon after the 2-1 friendly match win against Galacticos. This decision has left void in the attacking options of the team after Antonio who also left the team last term.
Asked on why he chose this way, Haq said "Actually I've considered this (decision) for several months ago but I still can not afford it since Urawa are not in a strong situation yet. But after two weeks in pre-season training, I can see the bright future of this team. Hence, it's time for hanging my boots."
After three years with URAWA, Haq, the team's 2-season co-captain has led URAWA Reds to quarterfinal in 2006 and semifinal in 2007. A farewell celebration will be held during URAWA friendly match against Sona FC this Tuesday for his contribution to URAWA. This also means URAWA might have to choose Shahrani as a potential captain for this season.

Out-
Latest news from some personnel close to the URAWA's management said that URAWA are set to leave some key players due to internal conflicts. It is said that Faizan Kamaruddin is handing in transfer request to move out for bigger team after both parties have failed to meet their terms.
Haq Husin is also reported has considered his retirement after some personal reasons. However, both players who are already integral parts of the team have never missed pre-season friendlies...

In-
URAWA are apparently interested in making a bid for D-Matrix's defensive player Ikang. After 2 friendly matches, it is looked like Loqman is considering making a permanent deal for the trial player.

Latest URAWA REDS Transfer News

After weeks and weeks of speculation it appears that URAWA Reds have successfully made moves for talented Azzuri's winger Aziz and Shafeq, former Freestyle's attacking midfielder for undisclosed fees. Both players have finally agreed a-year-deal worth 5 million pound. Aziz will be wearing URAWA's no 8 while Shafeq no 11.

During the press conference, Loqman has also confirmed the signings of a young promising winger Azmeer and striker, Kiwi on free transfers. Both players have been given the no 19 and 13 respectively.

First of all thanks God for giving us this result. It's a pleasure to have won. At the starting point, you'll always want to win. It shows what we can offer to them.

On attacking approach..
We need to try our attacking options by not always depend on Kuchai alone. Of course he is a fantastic player but you won't know what will happen next, either he will be unavailable to play or retire from football. Statistically we should have scored 5 to 6 especially on the 2nd half. It shows how this approach can provide something.

On defensive..
Our defenders gave their best to prove it(their worth). I'm quite happy with the way of them play with other. We also tried some options on right back as well as on centre.

On Potential Transfers..
At the moment we have to consider several potential players. So far it's good to say that we satisfied with their forms. They showed how they can contribute to us. Aziz and Azmeer are very promising. Kiwi and Ikang are very2 good as well.

On next fixture..
We'd like to try several players on our list. I had to say that the last game still needs some improvements. So we'll have our next game on Tuesday at 5.30 pm. Fans are very2 welcome to support. TQ

URAWA appoint Loqman as new manager

Loqman Zainal, former international footballer has officially taken the URAWA Reds hot seat as a new manager. Faizan Kamaruddin, the club's Recruitment Director confirmed the news at a press conference last night after holding discussions with several club's directors.

Loqman was also introduced to the assembled media at the press conference and confirmed he had been appointed until the end of incoming season.


"I would like to thank the board for their confidence - I face this job with excitement. It's everybody's dream," Loqman said. "I hope I don't let anyone down and that I achieve the successes that this club has set for this season.

Loqman will take charge of today's friendly match against Galacticos at UTP Soccer Field B scheduled at 5.30 pm. Be There Early!!

The Next URAWA Reds Manager?

URAWA are still considering appointing big-name manager for incoming season. URAWA hope to lure Loqman Zainal as a replacement of former boss Fadhli Azman. However Saffuan Saleh, Syukri Effendy and Haniff Intiaz are also said to be next in the line as a possible target.

Pat Retired as Urawa Reds Manager

We are very sad to announce that our long service manager Pat has finally announced his retirement. With another year to go in his contract, Pat made his astonishing decision after almost 4 years in charge of Urawa Reds. “It’s hard to make this decision. But I need to think about the future of this team by totally focus on playing games” Pat.
During his in charge of Urawa Reds, we were able to reach quarter final in 2006 and semi final in 2007. Urawa Reds FC are please to have him as our manager and wishing him a very good luck for this coming season. - URFC
